TEACHER| MUSICIAN

Aidan J Jones - is an Adelaide-based multi-instrumentalist and educator whose musical voice is rooted in folk traditions and global music styles. A professional performer for over 20 years, he has toured nationally and remains active in South Australia’s live music scene as both a solo artist and collaborative musician.

He performs on bass with Slowmango, plays double bass with Runebilly Rattle, and contributes multiple instruments with Dr Piffle and the Burlap Band.

Aidan plays bass guitar, fingerstyle and folk guitar, banjo (including tenor and fretless), lap steel guitar, ukulele, and West African n’goni, harmonica, piano and he sings. His musical approach emphasises rhythm, tone, and feel, drawing connections between global folk traditions and contemporary music.

As a teacher, Aidan focuses on strong fundamentals while keeping lessons engaging and tailored to each student’s interests and goals. He is passionate about helping students build confidence, explore new sounds, and discover their own musical voice.
